Choosing a flatmate is never an easy task, so no one would blame you for a spot of wishful thinking from time to time. We get it – sometimes you just want to lift certain movie characters out of your screen and into your home.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

We reckon these fictional friends would make great flatmates:<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n\n

1. Brian from <\/b>Taken<\/b><\/em>.<\/b><\/h4>\n\n

Wouldn\u2019t you feel incredibly safe knowing that literally nothing would happen to you if you were friends with this guy? (You\u2019d better stay on his good side, though, Lord have mercy on your soul if you do anything unsolicited to his daughter. Or his ex-wife.)<\/span><\/p>\n\n

2. Harold. (Or Kumar) from <\/b>Harold and Kumar<\/b><\/em>.<\/b><\/p>\n\n

This one\u2019s up for debate. Are you the Harold in the relationship, or are you the Kumar? Who would you prefer to be your roommate?<\/span><\/p>\n\n

3. Lisbeth from <\/b>The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo<\/b><\/em>.<\/b><\/p>\n\n

Lis is on this list for sheer bad-assery and her sweet kick-ass job. #girlsthatcode #girlsthathack You\u2019ll have to excuse the junk food and dingy lighting though.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

4. Snow White from <\/b>Snow White and the Seven Dwarves<\/b><\/em>.<\/b><\/p>\n\n

She couldn\u2019t pay for any bills but she made a cosy home for the dwarves to come back to after a hard day of mining.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

5. Jason Bourne, from <\/b>The Bourne Trilogy<\/b><\/em>.<\/b><\/p>\n\n

He seems like a bit of a flight risk, and liable of breaking furniture if a fight broke out in the house, but also strikes me as a fairly reasonable sort of guy. If you were good to him, I\u2019m sure you\u2019d wake up one morning and find some cash on the kitchen counter that wasn\u2019t there last night.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Plus he\u2019s totally concerned for your wellbeing.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

6. Rachel from <\/b>Friends<\/b><\/em>.<\/b><\/p>\n\n

Not Ross, because he\u2019d want you to keep it down all the time; not Monica, because of her <\/span>OCD cleaning<\/span><\/a>; not Phoebe, because of her dubious way of handling the smoke alarm that wouldn\u2019t shut up; and not Joey, because of the <\/span>spoon-licking thing<\/span><\/a>. Although we really, really do love Chandler, it can\u2019t be Chandler if he insists on keeping the chicken or the duck\u2026 So it\u2019s gotta be Rachel.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

7. Tyrion or Jamie Lannister from <\/b>Game of Thrones<\/b><\/em>, because reasons related to financial accountability.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u00a08. Count Olaf from A Series of Unfortunate Events<\/em><\/b><\/h3>\n\n

One of the most relentlessly sinister childhood villains ever. I pity the poor soul who would have to deal with <\/span>all the creepy eye symbols<\/span><\/a>. Plus if he were rich, he would just plot your death and steal your money. He\u2019d make a horrid flatmate candidate.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

9. Johnny from The Shining<\/em>.<\/b><\/p>\n\n

10. Aurora, from <\/b>Sleeping Beauty.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n

She doesn\u2019t sound very reliable, to be honest. Awful track record with paying bills on time, even though she\u2019s home literally <\/span>all the time<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

11. The Babadook, from The Babadook<\/em> (2014)<\/b><\/p>\n\n

Named one of Australia\u2019s scariest films in a long time, this creepy phantom has the best of us cowering in fear. You\u2019d want to simultaneously lock yourselves inside or move far, far away if The Babadook was haunting you.<\/p>\n\n

12. Dolores Umbridge from <\/b>Harry Potter<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n\n

This was tough, because we love Sheldon Cooper. Realistically, though, living with him would be banging-head-on-the-wall frustrating, not to mention you\u2019d have to sign your name to absurd flatmate rules written in incomprehensible legalese.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

14. The really unfriendly roommate that Becka has in Pitch Perfect<\/em>.<\/b><\/p>\n\n
