You Brought Someone Home Last Night To The Sharehouse. Should You Have Told Your Flatmates?

But somewhere between the front door and your bedroom, you walked past the kitchen, the living room, the laptop your flatmate left on the couch, and the keys hanging by the door. And your new friend, who you’ve known for approximately four hours, walked right through all of it. This is the part nobody really talks about.

Flatmates and share houses in Nakara

Nakara sits within Darwin Municipality. Share houses here are listed by the people already living in them, so what you are reading is the household describing itself rather than an agency describing a property.

There is one room advertised in Nakara right now. The current room is $280 a week. Listings change daily, so it is worth saving a search rather than checking back by hand.

Living with flatmates is as much about the household as the house. The things worth asking early are the ones people forget: what the total weekly cost is once bills are in, how the place is kept, and who else is on the lease. Meeting everyone before you agree, in person or on a video call, is the single thing that most often prevents a bad share.
